StarFM Group at Build North Expo 2026. Showcasing Construction Security for Liverpool.
This Tuesday, the StarFM Group team headed to Liverpool for Build North Expo, one of the North’s key events for the construction industry, and it was well worth the trip.
We arrived on Monday to get set up, and by the time the doors opened on the 16th of June, we were ready to go. It was a great opportunity to meet contractors face-to-face, talk through their security challenges, and show exactly what our equipment can do.
What We Were Showcasing
Our stand gave visitors a proper look at the StarFM product range, including:
- Solar CCTV Towers: self-contained, remote monitored units built for sites without a power supply
- Solar Lighting Towers: reliable, portable site lighting that works independently of the grid
- Wireless CCTV Systems: flexible camera setups that can be deployed quickly across a site
- PID (Perimeter Intruder Detection) Systems: intelligent detection that triggers alerts before a breach becomes a problem
One of the highlights was being able to walk visitors through how the cameras actually work in the field, live monitoring, how alerts are managed, and how our systems communicate back to our monitoring centre. For a lot of contractors, seeing it in action made the difference.
Strong Interest from Contractors
Throughout the day, we had plenty of quality conversations with contractors from across the North, exactly the audience Build North is built for. Site security is a real concern: plant theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access are ongoing issues that cost the industry time and money. It was encouraging to speak with people who are actively looking for smarter solutions rather than just padlocks and static guards.
